In recent years, the need for flexible access for newspaper deliverers, workers and deliveries from the increasing amount of Internet-based grocery stores to properties has increased. The administration of keys often requires extensive resources and expenses. Bekey has developed a keyless solution that can be installed in the property’s Intercom.
Bekey was also looking for a solution for private homes, which could fit all standard doors and subsequently be removable without leaving marks.
Bekey had a solution on the market and hired Technolution to ensure that this technology was usable – even in private homes.
Technolution took the role of hardware developer and manufacturer and focused on finding a solution based on an existing product and create a commercially attractive access system.
Bekey and Technolution screened the market and found useful systems that Technolution analysed and developed concepts for a re-design containing Bekey’s technology and their strict requirements.
Models of these concepts were presented at meetings with potential suppliers. Technolution participated in the initial business meetings with these suppliers in both Denmark and several places in Europe.
The development work was carried out in close cooperation with the external electronics development department at Axcon.
Technolution has followed the product from beginning to end and handled the entire process from concept to repatriation of injection molding tools and production of the finished units in close cooperation with Technolution’s network and partners.
Among others, the system was sold through public tendering to The Municipality of Faxe in Region Zealand who needed to provide access to citizens needing home care.
