AQT 90

We have had an intensive cooperation with Radiometer on the detailed specification of components in the inlet system. We took responsibility for establishing the effective cooperation between the suppliers of tools and parts, as well as drawing up the test protocols and test reports for the specific subsystems.
The allocation of resources was adjusted continuously to make necessary resources and capacities available for this project. Radiometer succeeded with the project and started the delivery within the scheduled timeframe.

The AQT90 became an entire new business area for Radiometer. Previously, the necessary analyses were made using complicated processes at the hospital’s central laboratory, with critically long response times as consequence.

With the AQT90 you can obtain quick and accurate knowledge of the condition of critically ill patients. This knowledge is crucial to the patients’ prognosis and ultimately their chance of survival.

As a compact analyser, the AQT90 must comply with all procedures and requirements for a fully equipped laboratory regarding blood samples and waste management.

Over a period of three years, Technolution has participated in the development of AQT90, taking the lead on two of the unit’s many mechanical subsystems and an associated consumable. Simultaneously, we delivered troubleshooting and sparring regarding other subsystems. Specifically, Technolution has been responsible for:

  • The concept for sample processing
  • Models for a solution
  • Detailed construction
  • Documentation
  • Provision of functional models and prototypes
  • Test protocols and reports

Technolution was involved in the project during some time and came up with a comprehensive effort, which helped Radiometer launch a successful product within the planned schedule. Technolution especially solved the problem with the inlet (blood samples) and waste management (chemicals).

Throughout the project, Technolution has cooperated intensely with Radiometer and by utilizing our interdisciplinary skills, we have been able to contribute to the various phases of the project, including concept development and detailed construction. In addition, we have assisted in selecting materials and components and have provisioned functional models and prototypes.

Radiometer has experience considerable growth and revenue from the AQT90, which has set new market standards for efficient and rapid handling of blood samples.
